Mitigation Methods For Arc Flash Hazards – Enhancing Personnel Safety

Session Type: Convention, Management Workshop

Available Dates & Times

Description

Recent studies indicate that between five and ten arc flash explosions occur in electrical equipment every day in the United States. Electrical arc flash accidents are devastating to the affected workers and their families, and they can have very damaging financial consequences to the worker’s employer and its liability insurers. Although application of some of the product-based arc flash mitigation solutions result in increased costs for electrical equipment, arc flash mitigation may be a wise investment. This program will provide a better understanding of the arc mitigation standards and industry requirements and potential solutions and technologies available to deal with such requirements.
